CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam has said that the government should investigate those people who took citizenship certificate illegally under citizenship bill of 2063 BS.
Gautam said those having illegal citizenship certificate should be booked.
"The state should present itself strictly against those non-Nepalese who took citizenship certificate illegally by misusing open border," Gautam said while speaking at a press meet organised by the Badiya chapter of Press Chautari in Gulariya on Saturday.
He said the nation has been heading towards crisis due to the activities of UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based parties.
Also on the occasion, Gautam said ethnic state was not possible in the country.
