'People's fresh mandate must for democracy, sovereignty' | Top Stories | ekantipur.com

Former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sujata Koirala has underlined the need to go for fresh mandate to consolidate parliamentary democracy and safeguard sovereignty of the country, as the chances of promulgating the new constitution within coming May 27 are slim.
She said this while inaugurating the cadres' training programme organized by the NC, Makawanpur, constituency-3 committee, in Hetauda on Saturday.
It is time for the NC to lead the government to deliver lasting peace, write an acceptable new constitution and give the feeling of good governance and economic independence, she argued.
Leader Koirala further said the NC cadres should be honest towards the party policy, constitution and ideological values and urged the leaders and cadres to avoid factionalism while working for the party organization.
Some 395 cadres of NC Makawanpur, constituency-3 are attending the three-day training. RSS
