KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said that the Constituent Assembly could not be saved and it would be dissolved after Sunday midnight after failing to promulgate the new constitution.
Talking to the media at the Constituent Assembly premises in Naya Baneshwor after the meeting of three major parties and United Democratic Madhesi Forum, Dahal said that the Maoist Standing Committee meeting would be held to decide what measure should be taken up after the dissolution of CA.
The Maoists are mulling over whether to declare the state of emergency to extend the CA term or announce the fresh elections of the new CA.
It has been learnt that the Cabinet is set to hold its meeting after the midnight to assess the situation and make important decision.
