KATHMANDU: Police said that 18-year-old Manoj Nepali of Trishuli-3, Nuwakot was arrested from Mitranagar of Kathmandu Metropolitan-29 on Monday morning along with Rs 9,80,700 in cash that he allegedly stolefrom a cloth trader.
Nepali had come to Kathmandu after stealing the cash from Binod Kumar Gupta’s room in Dube of Bidur Municipality-1, Nuwakot district. A permanent resident of Bihar in India, Gupta runs a cloth shop in Nuwakot.
After discovering the fortune missing from his possession during a regular security check, Nepali was arrested.
Police said they are looking into the case.
