Deependra Das, who was critically injured in the Janakpur bomb blast, breathed his last on Thursday night.
Das, 28, was suffering from multiple shrapnel injuries and was put on a ventilator at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).
With his demise, the death toll from the Janakpur blast incident has reached five.
Earlier, the hospital had decided to airlift Das to Delhi for further treatment.
Das sustained critical injuries in an explosion while staging sit-in organised by Mithila State Struggle Committee at Ramanand chowk on May 30.
The blast claimed four lives the same day.
The government has already decided to bear all the medical expenses ofthe injured and to provide Rs. one million to the family of the deceased.
